IFS stands for International Food Standards and is an internationally recognized food safety initiative to review food safety and its production procedures. IFS was developed in 2003 by the German HDE (Hauptverbands des Deutschen Einzelhandels) and the French FCD (Fédération des Entreprises du Commerce et de la Distribution) Food Associations and is a standard which has been recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative).

The goal of IFS is to create an international standard with a unique evaluation system that guarantees high quality. In order to get the IFS certification, you need to fulfill a number of hygiene criteria across the production line in addition to a series of administrative requirements.
An IFS certification enhances the company’s reputation as a high-quality manufacturer, which ensures customers that the food production meets the highest hygiene standards and reduces the need for additional audits.
Besides the audits that you can run in order to ensure a production line of the highest quality, you should also equip your production site with the best-quality gear. SafeGear offers apart from the great variety of security mirrors, also mirrors made of stainless steel. Stainless Steel is a robust material, which is unbreakable, does not rust or stain and can be easily cleaned. Due to its durability, stainless steel mirrors meet the IFS criteria what makes them ideal to be used by food production companies. They ensure that you keep an overview of the production line without risking the quality of the products as they do not break and splinter.
